She has an MFA from Spalding University in Kentucky. When not writing, she propagates fruit and nut trees, and plants them in schools and rural communities around Zimbabwe.

Her debut novel, The Train House on Lobengula Street, won the 2024 Zimbabwean National Media Award for the Outstanding First Creative Published Work. It was short-listed for the 2021 Laxfield Literary Launch Debut Author’s Prize.
